THE DONKEY SANCTUARY'S aim is to prevent the suffering of donkeys worldwide through the provision of high quality, professional advice, training and support on donkey welfare. In the Uk and Ireland permanent sanctuary is provided to any donkey in need of refuge.

By adopting one of the donkeys for one year (renewable each year for the same donkey), you will be helping towards the running cost of the charity, The Elisabeth Svendsen Trust for Children and Donkeys, which provides riding therapy for children with special needs and disabilities. If you would like to know more about adopting a donkey you can choose one by clicking HERE You will receive a certificate, a drawing, a photograph and details of your donkey. You will also receive a six monthly update and you will be given the opportunity to visit your adopted donkey at Sidmouth, Birmingham or Leeds, depending on where your donkey 'lives'.
